Huge apologies gentlemen. The bags are sitting behind me as I type this. It's just been one thing after another after another, and the sorting out of stuff totally ground to a halt. If there had been a deadline, it might have kicked me into gear, but all I can offer is apologies for letting a hundred other things distract me.
If you'll pm me your addresses, I'll just post this lot down to you. You can reimburse me if you like the stuff I'll send. There's a note in each box.
They won't go through the letter box so maybe think about where best for me to post them to ?
I have a hospital appointment tomorrow so the car will be out and I can drop stuff off at the collection shop in the next village, but I'll be out again later in the week and they can go then if I don't get addresses in time.

I'm trying really hard to catch up on things, I'm sorry that these were sidelined for so long.

I’m sure I’m not alone in not needing any of this in a rush and you are the one doing us the favour Mary. In fact, I was about to message you to see if I’d missed a post or misunderstood and you were sat waiting for us to get in touch!
Do you still have my address details or do you need them again?

Well, I’m delighted with my stuff Mary. I’ll sort out the total once we have settled on a price for the flask tomorrow. :)

That reminds of the old two nuns in the bath “joke”

First one says “where’s the soap”

The other replies “it does doesn’t it”

I’ll get my coat

Okay :) since everyone's got their parcels, I reckon this one's done and dusted.

I'm heading across to the local factory outlet that makes woollens for The Edinburgh Woollen Mill sometime this week. Really good jumpers, fleeces, etc., etc., for usually around a fiver.
They make up masses of samples, to be passed around the various shops for the staff to see and comment upon. Extras, etc., end up on the sale racks.

And while I mind, those of you who do the thread injection.....Fabric Bazaar has the 5,000m cops of the green thread used in OD stuff, but get this, it's made by/for Barbour....for a fiver a cop. They also have huge brass double ended zips for outdoor wear too, at £2 each. Postage makes it uneconomical unless someone you know is shopping and happy to bag and post by myHermes :D

It sure is :D
I think he has 1000m cops too. I've told them to suss out the postage and put them up on the website.
Amazing amount of stuff they have. Used to be a small company that made uniforms for the MOD and police.
I bought genuine goretex fabric there before now, and waxed cotton and pure wool old fashioned twill woven black barathea too.

I've just had a look at their website ( https://www.fabricbazaar.co.uk ). It's not the easiest to navigate and doesn't sell itself does it? That said there's a load of stuff on there. I'll keep an eye out for the threads to appear as I really need to think about some projects for whenever the winter comes and I have time on my hands.
Do you have any suggestions as to where I might find some medium weight canvas in the usual greens and browns?

Edited to say shouldn't we have a separate thread for thread-related activities either here or on ROF, if not on both?

I have been a happy customer of Connaught Shaving for many years, even though their web site looks like it was designed in 1992. Unfortunately my most recent visit there failed to find what I was looking for. Some googling lead me to Agent Shave. They not only had everything I was looking for, but also many delights I didnt even know I needed. Suffice to say, I am now £135 lighter and expecting a large parcel. :D
