Much as I dislike the notion of admitting anything synthetic does a better job then the natural stuff, I had a shave with the new brush this morning and was more than pleasantly surprised at how well it performed. They really are good aren't they? :)

Very good indeed. I had Steve put a synthetic knot in one of his superb handles so that one even looks great.

I've been burrowing into the bags of stuff put by for Christmas, and I have a boxed shaving bowl, a boxed brush, boxed aftershave cream/lotion and moisturiser. I also have a bag of six small bowl shaped soaps.......in total I paid a little under twenty quid for it all.
Like these....

Anyway, I am likely headed over there next week for a jaunt with my pal Patsy :) so, I'm not asking for anyone's money upfront, but I'd like written note that you would be happy for me to spend your money (and cover the myHermes/Collect+ whatever, fees (probably the cheapest level I'd think) and what you'd like, if I can get it.
No promises, it's a factory shop, it's always a bit of an aladdin's cave mixed with the frantic mobbing of an M&S Christmas sale, but I promise to look out the best that I can find. The sets that I bought last time were perfect :) only the individual tube of black pepper moisturising cream had the printing on the metal tube thingie slighly askew.

I'd be up for a couple (ish) shaving soaps and any interesting looking men's soaps for myself. I'm noting more fanciful men's products though. I'm not sure how much these might cost but I'd be happy dropping £20 (ish) and whatever postage your way if there is stuff like that available. :)

Thanks Kev :) that's very do-able :)
I'll add that to my Shopping List for the place. I'm after stocking fillers and gift sets for friends, and some of the gardening soaps if they have them, anyway, so your kind of stuff's no bother.

A selection something similar to what you have would be superb Mary. 20 quid ish sounds a right bargain!

Obviously I won't hold you to anything:D

Thanks very much for your kind offer

You're welcome :) I'll add to the list.

It all rather adds to the fun when I have stuff to buy and I'm having a shopping trip.

Thanks Mary. One day I hope I’ll get the opportunity to make up for all the generosity I’ve received from you. If you want some pennies fired up to you before the shopping spree do let me know. :)

You do your own good turns, and one way and another folks do me a lot of favours. I'm just passing the gift of a good turn along :)
Well, hopefully. We'll see what's available on the day.

So Bev can twerk, I’m impressed.😂

MaC, while I’m popping some cash to the OTF funds, would you like £20 sent your way? I’m interested in anything Thistle and Black Pepper, particularly body soap, eau de toilette, face stuff.

Wait and see what I can find. I have a couple of the Thistle and Black Pepper tubes here though, bought at the end of Summer and not used or opened. Happy to pass them along if I don't find anything new. I'm pretty sure it was 95p per tube for the moisturiser.
They did have these sets last time, and not at this price.

Slight change of plan though; Pat's sister is coming up from London for the week, and they're going to Oban, Lochgoilhead, etc., so it'll be the next week again before we go to SFS.

We've been, shopped ourselves into needing a sit down and a cup of tea (found a wee teashop :D) and am back home with bag loads of stuff.

I'm going to post up the SFS site pages of things I bought, and I'll list through what I actually got, and what I paid for it, as I work through the bags (mind I bought my own Christmas presents too, so think on this as a work in progress please).

Well done M, excellent haul.

I’d certainly be interested in the eau de toilette, beard oil, moisture cream, a comb, any bar soaps, but sort out your gifts first.

Great stuff Mary. Once you have a definitive list of what’s available then I’ll be up for some soaps and possibly some eau de toilette.

Should have bought more eau de toilette. Sorry....I'll ask again next time I'm over. I thought only Kev had asked for that.

I think I'll just photo bundles and ask if you want them, and if you do, wrap and post those. I thought I was being good too, I kept it under the twenty quid, and hoped the postage would keep it to just around that even if I added in all kinds of the mini things and assorted soaps.

The soaps I bought are lovely, they really are. I'm using the larch one in the kitchen already and it's gotten the menfolks seal of approval as well as mine. I've got a couple of the shaving bowl ones for all of you, but I did buy the other 'masculine' type scents for you to try.
The beard combs are 'grooming' combs, and are really nice, so you're all getting one of them anyway :)

Slightly fraught here. Himself sprayed the new kitchen carpet with a Scotchguard like stuff.....a whole can that does 60m square....for a carpet that's about fourteen  So, you can now push a chair from one end of the table to the other, with the flick of a single finger ....and the tiled half of the kitchen, the cooking end, is like a bloody ice rink ! I've fallen twice, Andrew's gone his length too, and the floor has never been so clean in it's life. It's been cleaned, scrubbed, scoured, paint removered, isopropyl alcholed and it's still slippy.
I have no idea what's in Scotchguard, but it's lethal.

Ahhhh, that makes sense. Gavin's been trying to deal with it like some kind of varnish, and I kept saying that it was too fine for that.

It's still slippy, but much improved.

Honestly, it ought to come with warnings, but there's nothing about this on the spray can.
