Above, wild garlic plus butterfly. All was going well, I went east of Harewood with the brain wave of seeing if the old railway track on the map was open for walking, from east Keswick village. It wasn't, after a hundred yards or so when it was fenced off and badly overgrown. So plan B, my tatty old map shows a bridle way going north from the village to the river wharfe then some kind of path going west by the river. What could possibly go wrong?

And that's the end of the photos, because I did NOT then blunder west along a path that brought me up to barb wire fences SEVERAL TIMES and have a throw my old anorak over them to get my leg over (oo er) and end up in a rush trying to get by the river without being seen trespassing by farmers, and finally emerge on the road (another fence to climb) before getting back on track to get back to Harewood and the bus stop. It was after six when I get back to Harewood, had to resort to my emergency old bounty bar and wagon wheel in my backpack for food, they were a bit past it.
There's nothing wrong with relying on old maps!
