So last week I was on holiday and as said elsewhere I was 'renovating' the bathroom.

I ordered a tall thin cabinet from Amazon to arrive midweek, and it got dispatched and sat inbetween depots until after the delivery day and Amazon said ok we'll refund it. Annoying but ok, I can order something else.
I order something else, a different tall thin cabinet, which was delivered yesterday. Spent last evening building it only to find one critical part had been drilled wrongly. Contacted the seller asking them to replace that part (sent pics and part no.s etc.) and they replied asking me which part, can you mark it on the diagram here. The diagram is different to the one I'm building.. I take pics of the part, the proper diagram and send those.
Then I realise the cabinet I'm building is not the one I bought (how dumb am I?)
It is in fact the original cabinet that got lost and somehow ended up being delivered but listed as the new different one.
How does that happen? two different sellers so it could not have been their mistake.

Contact Amazon support, tell my long winded story and they say, here's a refund, keep the cabinet. Which is fine, maybe I can redrill the holes in the right places...

Joy! Once I knew I didn't have to worry about returning it, fixing it was easy. Just a couple of new holes in the right place and the old bad ones are hidden under an edge 😁

Maybe I should call Amazon and offer to pay again......... Nah

today while I was at work 2 parcels arrived. A replacement part for the damaged cabinet (the wrong part) and the second missing complete cabinet!
I now have 2 bathroom cabinets, both of which have been refunded by Amazon and a spare part
