the beautiful south. but NOT on the island
For a tenner, I took the punt hoping it would replace my little p4 leatherman as I broke the pliers.
The piers are reasonably good and cut soft wire with ease and gripped well enough. I was dubious of overstressing the screwdriver on the bleed valve of the landy cooling system as I reached max dared pressure before loosening the screw. bottle opener survived a couple of bottles of thatchers Katy. Handles are small and generally uncomfortable but on reflection the thing is handy and worth the money.
It also has a couple of blades but I have better ones at all times.

I was tempted by the Splice, exactly the same tool but with scissors in place of the pliers. Then I looked at the Dime, it’s a little bigger, more like the P4. Then I got a bit bored looking at things that cost money when I have a Gerber Shortcut, a Leatherman Micra, a Swisstool and a Charge TTi.

Dime v P4 here, Dime beats the Leatherman hands down apart from the file.

Vise and Splice here:

For a tenner, the Vise or Splice can’t be beat.

I thought Leatherman would replace yours if you broke the pliers (they did for my Wave). Have you tried contacting them?

The Squirt is discontinued, you get the lesser Micra as replacement. Still, better than nothing.

I've got a 2004 model Wave that's now no longer locking one of the blades, has anyone dealt with warranty recently?
Not for a while but I think they do put up a list of what equivalent model you would receive back if it’s not current. Old wave to new hopefully!

I did a couple of years ago, broke the pliers on a Charge tti, I sent it to Whitby knives? and a couple of weeks later got a brand new one in the post. Not sure if they are still the service dealer for Leatherman but check on the Leatherman site for details.
