Ah yes, getting your phone out to do something, seeing a message, replying, and finding yourself lost in limbo. In the old days it was easy, you were either gonna call someone or send a text, now it could be anything. Make a note of something? Check your notes for something? Read the forums? Buy something on eBay? Read the news? Check the central heating? Something to do with the car? Fuck knows, forget it. Phone back in pocket.

Instant realisation, hopefully no messages received since then or it will be a repeat.

Who the fuk ever reads their notes?

Constantly, I'm either at work thinking about things on the house, or writing things down that need to happen in the future at certain times. Especially during these last two weeks where I've been playing mother to four foster kids.

From my recently deleted (an insight into the mind of a madman):

eBay book (it's been two weeks and not arrived, needed to message the seller)

Tortoise lettuce

Healthcare visitor Friday

How straight is the plaster and lath wall, will the skirting board cover the damaged section?

Page 468 (I didn't have a bookmark)

Measure frieze, coving, skirting
Saline

Wickes plaster, Mother's day cards x2

Most importantly are the fixed notes, every time I spend money on the house it gets logged, and recovered at the end of the month. Everything I buy online goes into the deliveries list and gets ticked off when it arrives correctly. Laura does the grocery shopping and I tell her what I've been needing, Quite often it'll be a fun conversation like:

"Ibuprofen"

"We have ibuprofen"

"It costs 45 pence, lasts decades and takes up next to zero space, just buy it"

etc.
