Was just reading an article on uses for oats, and remembered this one:

Yes I remember that, it was really good and surprisingly easy, I added sultanas for extra taste and texture. IIRC I did a cheese one as well which worked out pretty good.

I've just made this. I hope it's tastes as nice as it looks.
Could be a great hike / bike food!

Edit...it's pretty good. Very stodgy/ filling. Definitely worth making.

This is definitely ‘on the list’ of things to make, I love oats. Whizzed up 3 Cox apples, oats, oat milk, couple teaspoons of brown sugar and a teaspoon of cinnamon this morning. Lovely

I'd want to add the Guinness. My first thought was to garnish the slices with Crosby's Fancy Molasses ( the "fancy" infers that it's straight cane molasses.) Cheap molasses here is usually beet root sugar leavings.
