I posted this on another forum. It is probably a good time to post it here, despite the significant thread drift:
In 2021, there were confrontations between the 2 communities.
An Israeli Jew artist and educator, Uriya Rosenman, and a Palestinian rapper, Sameh "SAZ" Zakout, created this dialogue in Hebrew and Arabic called Let's talk straight.
Uriya Rosenman asked dozens of people across Israel about their prejudices to write the lyrics, long before the escalation in May. He heard hatred and racism on both sides. Uriya insists, "Nothing about the insults was made up. That's how we sound at family gatherings when we're among ourselves."
This song went viral. Lyrics are quite violent but at least offers a pathway for both parties to hear each other's griefs.
Maybe some will listen.
