I'll have to buy a new phone and my current one has a micro sim which I want to keep. Is it safe to do, or is it better to visit a phone repair shop?
Would they be able send a sim with all my current settings on it?Can’t you ask your network provider? You’d have it within 48 hours
Your new phone will have software available for it to hoover all the settings and data from your old one and stick it in for right places.I am not sure what settings you mean. In the old days we used to save stuff on the sim but the cloud has made it outdated. Provided your new phone is compatible (at least for iPhone/iPhone) you simply transfer everything you want from your old phone to the new one. I would think the same is possible between 2 Android phones.
It's the phone number etc. that I'm wondering about, does that transfer with the rest of the stuff?Your new phone will have software available for it to hoover all the settings and data from your old one and stick it in for right places.
Don't think anyone still stored anything on the SIM these days.
