Mine was thatchers vintage cider again. Bottle is in the recycling bin.
There was a gap on the shelf in the shop where the Thatcher's was meant to be or that would likely have been mine too, but the HW had the added bonus of being in the chiller cabinet too. :)

Had a Google for beer festival nearby, can't find much. There used to be loads. Not much of a drinker but suppose you can take empty plastic bottles and put a half pint of cider in one if there's something you fancy.
There used to be a cider festival in Hebden Bridge, went one year, they stopped having it after that. True story.

We've got a cottage cider industry going on here and a lovely little cider barn in Godshill where my daughter lives. Some really tasty, toxic and bowel scouring stuff. Not been in there for a little while. Hmmmmm.

Very rarely have cider these days after the Amazon vendors worked out that they must be losing money shipping 6x500ml bottles to me up here for £1.50 a bottle. Now it is 12 bottles for £47.

I am trying out cheap Port at the moment. Tesco is £8.50 a bottle. It's not a vintage, but it tastes a bit like Port.

I've heard of it but I've never had one, sounds like one of those daft drinks for children that don't like alcohol.

Used to be the drink of choice of teenage girls to get rat-arsed quickly. Much better than rum and coke.
The sweetness of the Ribena boosts the alcohol into your system.
Sometimes mixed with Guiness too.

Spanish beer brewed in the UK by Coors - one of there breweries is in Yorkshire, one near Manchester and one on Burton on trent - very Mediterranean!

That’s it, go on and spoil an old man’s nostalgia. Even bloody Guinness and Waterford Crystal are bloody American now. :shame:
Anyway, it was cold, thirst quenching and had alcohol in it. It did its job, has passed through and left behind a genuinely nostalgic fart that I’ll enjoy at leisure later today. :)

Cider finally drunk, it was nice enough to sit out back. When I got in from a walk with two ex colleagues. Not seen John since last September (?), he did himself a mischief playing golf, said he broke both his ankle and foot. Ankle still visibly a little swollen, but he did a flat walk OK at rspb fairburn ings. Said he was in accident and emergency for 16 hours with it last August.

Cider is great for hot weather. My preference is for Pink Sxollie. Made from pink lady apples and tastes amazing!
