I'm sure I've reported this before on NAFOF or ROF but back in the days I lived in Yorkshire, I had a mate who had a barely road legal van and his survival kit in the harshest of winters was a sleeping bag and a party seven. I think you'd have liked him :)

Thank you. Just bought some. I will give some to the other half as she has problems threading needles.

The thread is pulled down into the top 'loop'. The bottom hole is the 'spring' that keeps the self threading bit from shattering :)
Loop of thread and push the needle 'eye' against it and the thread neatly pops into place. No fuss trying to poke the end of the thread through a tiny wee hole.

I was just about to pull the trigger on these, but now I've read your instructions I think I'll just buy the magnifying glass in my basket for 1.99

One hand tho hold the needle, one to hold the thread and the third hand to hold the magnifying glass! Mac's idea looks foolproof otherwise I wouldn't have bothered!!

The needles are really simple to use. No fuss, no need for magnifying glasses (Mrs TwoPairs here) just push the end of the head of the needle against the thread and it's done.
I've been using these ones today, they're good to sew with too :)
Very pleased :)

They're 'special' needles so there are only a few in each pack, but the price is a bargain, and the needles are good.

It's a sort of 'ahah' moment when you get the thread in, and after that, it's easy :)

Someone else is selling the same range but in different sizes, and they were three times the price when I looked last.

A fountain pen to add to my collection. Large, cigar-shaped, silver coloured trim, it's basically a MontBlanc 149 without the branding and price tag. This is a Chinese made Jinhao 159 with a fine nib and a cartridge convertor from Amazon, HERE at £10.49, although I paid £9.99. Or pay £900 for the MontBlanc. The latter may be a piston filler, which is a scaled up and more expensive filling system. Either way you will be getting a plastic pen of the same style.

Rather than spend £900 on a plastic pen you could spend a fiver less on a solid silver Yard-o-Led Vicerory Grand fountain pen in barley pattern HERE These list at £1,200 direct from Y-o-L. MontBlanc seem to have a very high marketing budget!

One of them ear cleaning cameras!
Gross but weirdly captivating footage!

I'm virtually deaf, but no reason ever given for it. I am at times curious as to what the inside of my ears actually looks like.
I'd never heard of an 'ear-cleaning camera' before.

Is it hard to use ?

Back to sidecars...

I even flirted with the idea of a Harley, something I could not previously have imagined being seen on. I know they have a band of loyal fans, but I have always stood by my fact (!) that they are only ridden by Hells Angels and accountants, and I would never want to be mistaken for an accountant. Anyway, jokes aside there is a lovely HD XLH1200 on eBay with a smashing sidecar in a beautiful colour. As I would ride my bike every day given the chance, this was again impractical.

Until something else comes up, the last hope is to put a sidecar on my current bike a BMW R1200GS Adventure.

It's a beast of a bike and getting too heavy for me when it is fully loaded.

I know that beastie bike feeling! My susuki 800 intruder has been on furlow for a while now, and I'm just keeping the yamaha virago 750 usa import on the go at present. Feels tiny after the intruder, It's only 50cc smaller! But tons more manageable. There comes a time when you end up as you started...on a moped! 🤣😒

If you want a decent lightweight outfit that would go almost anywhere, I would recommend this.

The Himalayan is still cool.

I just want something to tool around on and spanner a little bit. The EN500 I had was great for that.

I'd realy like a trike!
Soooooo expensive though, I looked at tricking the intruder...almost 10 grand! The insurance was astronomical on top as I don't have a garage. Sadly not doable. I need a sugar daddy 😀

Really easy
Connects via WiFi to your phone and has a specific app for it.
You’ll be shocked as to what’s in your ears - it’s basically a very small camera with a scoop on the end to gather wax.

Yes, and made surprisingly well. Royal Enfield bought out Harris engineering a few years ago. Frame and suspension were designed and tuned by Lester Harris. Frames are robot welded and quality is pretty good.
