I'm sure I've reported this before on NAFOF or ROF but back in the days I lived in Yorkshire, I had a mate who had a barely road legal van and his survival kit in the harshest of winters was a sleeping bag and a party seven. I think you'd have liked him :)

We're away in Cranborne without the kids for our anniversary, this is how the fridge is looking

Got a Swiss champ as a gift, how did she know?

I bought two pairs of snow shoes at a thrift store which I am hopeful will return a healthy profit.

Also grabbed a nice 4 wheel samsonite suitcase to replace the absolutely buggered one I brought back here 4.5 years ago. It was full of stuff for winter and I had planned to throw it away once I was back but I kept it and, to be fair, it clung on.

What I could use is a carry on sized one but no such luck so far.

Self-threading needles.
Same here! :)

Have you sussed out how to use them though ? :D

I've been using them all day to tidy up the threads on the back of a quilt that I've just finished. They make it so easy. No footering around trying to get a short white thread into the eye of a needle against white fabric. No need for two pairs of specs :D

Needles - Mine are just for looking at, just like most of my stuff!

Sidecars - the Royal Enfield outfit would probably be fine for me, but I have her to think of, so being out of the elements as much as possible is high up the list.

Glerup slippers ... oh man! :) Ordered two pairs in different sizes expecting to return one. I am actually going to keep both. One pair fits perfectly without socks. The other with socks. Luxury and choice ... lovely.

Cor, those look lovely. I’m in my Celtic & Co sheepskin booties just now, those Gleruos are going on the list for potential financial windfall spending.

Along with these Dale of Norway Alvøy hats.

I find merino wool beanies too hot for our climate. I like my small Le Tricoteur dobbo (docker beanie) though.

I have been meaning to order from Le Tricoteur. Their hats look great. There is a stripey one I like. But it is another Guernsey I am after. Problem is they offer them with machine finished collars and hand finished. There is a bit of a price difference but they weren't very clear about what the actual collar difference is when I mailed them. Might be worth it. Might be entirely unnoticeable. Can't tell, so I am a bit stuck.

Temp: Do you have any idea?

Ha, I got one of those and it's a decent little light; I considered bulk buying a load but it seemed like a better idea in theory than practice.

The filp out stand almost immediately broke off but it seemed like a gimmick anyway, the magnet makes it a decent little unit for lying under the Landy.

I figured at that cost it was an easy answer.
Just in time for lighter evenings….

I have a thin one from Buff which is a decent balance of warmth and compactness. Folds to nothing in a pocket. I get warm on the move and overheat too quickly in warmer hats.

The ray mears rabbit fur blend beanie I have, lovely though it is, has barely been used.

Exactly. And you live in colder climes.

I've used this one an my previous one from them here and in the UK. The UK is warmer but the dampness of the air means it feels colder at higher temps, plus more chance of wet weather with wind. They're really quite thin.

I bought a merino neck gaiter from them as well but it is double layer - bulky and just too warm to use it for long; so it often gets left at home.

Sorry Noddy I have no idea at all. My experience is only as far as the many jumpers that I have bought from them. I have just gone for the bog standard issue. I will measure the collar on the jumper I am wearing.

Edit - 21 inches roughly, about 53.5cm if you have been metricated.
