Beautiful bright sunny morning. Argued whether we should go out or catch up on the gardening. Madame sensibly suggested deferring decision until after we had done morning chores. By then it was drizzling, so decision made for us. Thinking of starting work on an ark.

The day of the vote for should there be a Scottish Parliament, we had clear blue skies, and the contrails of the aeroplanes from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, and the ones coming up from London, crossed the skies in Saltires

It was a beautiful sight and somehow propitious.
