Fireworks might be banned for use in private gardens....so probably they will, they're giving us time to become accustomed to it before the 5th November.

Can't see the other councils skipping it if they can get away with it either.

Us too. We had the most momentous GF nights :D

My SIL and I don't really drink, but come GF we opened a bottle of wine, and if they could make a bang big enough to make us jump (and mind we knew them, knew how explosive the family get togethers could be) then we'd have a drink.
The night that Caroline and I finished the bottle, Son 1 had brought student friends out to join in.
One German lassie came in all flushed and proudly stated (one firework went the wrong way, and she'd been hurriedly hussled into safety), "I have had such a brilliant time; I have been flung down a Scottish Close !! " :rolleyes:

Caroline found another bottle.......
